IRVINE Rugby Club is calling for donations of Christmas gifts for children and families in need.
The club is hoping to 'bring smiles' to those in need this festive season by collecting Christmas gifts for children aged 0 to 17.
They are asking for a range of items to be donated, including toys, puzzles, books, board games, make-up, gift cards, LEGO, sports equipment and arts and crafts supplies.
Donations should be supplied unopened and unwrapped as ASDA Irvine will be providing wrapping paper, tape and tags to allow the parents to wrap the gifts on their own.
The club is also accepting donations of adult-sized items such as pyjamas, slippers, and blankets for parents.
A spokesperson for the rugby club said: "Help us bring smiles to local children and families in need this festive season by donating a Christmas gift.
"Be it a regift of something unopened that you never use, a toy your child never plays with anymore or a little something you can afford to pick up - you will help make someone’s holiday truly magical."
Donations can be made to any rugby club members, committee members or coaches at Irvine Community Sports Club, Irvine Rugby Football Club Juniors, or Irvine Ladies Rugby.
The collection times are Tuesdays between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, Wednesdays between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, and Thursdays between 7pm and 8.30pm.
All items supplied will be split between the Child Protection Team's Christmas toy appeal, and the Women's Aid Christmas gift appeal.
