Chicken chain Nando's has hit a fundamental problem: it has a shortage of chicken.
Issues with the UK supply chain has forced the closure of 50 restaurants around the country, including in Scotland.
Customers were quick to spot the closures, and took to social media to find out what was going on.
The Nando's handle replied to one tweet saying: "We miss you! The UK supply chain is having a bit of a ‘mare right now. This is having a knock-on effect with some of our restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales. Not ideal, we know. Drop us a DM so we can bring a little Nando's to you."
Here are all the Scottish restaurants impacted by the problem.
Which Nando's in Scotland are shut?
The supply chain issues have extended to some Scottish Nando's branches.
These are the restaurants which are currently shut in Scotland:
- Aberdeen Belmont Street
- Edinburgh Ocean Terminal
- Glasgow Braehead
- Glasgow West End
Meanwhile, Edinburgh Straiton Park is open for collection only.
The chicken based South African restaurant chain, which has over 400 branches across the UK, has suffered as a result of the so-called "pingdemic", with people isolating leading to supply shortages.
Nando's recommends checking the status of your chosen restaurant before attending, which you can do on their website.
It has offered Nando's staff to the suppliers to help deal with the issue at the source, however it is unclear whether this offer has been accepted.
