Irvine Meadow co-manager Colin Spence praised striker Graham Boyd after he notched the winner in their 1-0 win over Pollok.
Meadow went into the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division match in need of a win after back to back defeats.
The only goal of the game at Newslandsfield came on the stroke of half time.
Connor Boyd latched onto a loose ball to drive to the byline and tee a cross into the middle of the box.
Graham Boyd rose up and headed in to get Medda back to winning ways.
Speaking to the Times, Spence said: “Connor has done brilliantly, the defender has played a square pass and he has intercepted it.
“He then puts it on a plate for Graham to head home.
“So, it was good to see the two strikers working well together.
He added:”Graham has been looking good recently and has scored four goals in his last three or four starts.
“So, he has had a good return there and his numbers are good,
“He looks like he is finally getting over all his injury worries as well but we are just going week by week just now there is no pressure on him, we are just delighted he is looking back to his best.”
