Irvine Meadow have announced the departure of manager Martin Ferry and his assistant Des Roache - less than three months after the pair arrived at Meadow Park.
The club, rooted at the bottom of the WoSFL Premier League, made the shock announcement on Friday morning - leaving them looking for their fifth manager in the space of just 14 months.
Their statement read: "Irvine Meadow XI FC announces the departure of Martin Ferry and Des Roach from their roles as first team manager and assistant manager, effective immediately.
"Martin's departure is due to unforeseen circumstances and Des, citing time constraints with his son's national-level sports commitment, has decided to stop down as well.
"Both express gratitude to the fans and wish the players and the club success in the future."
The management pair were only appointed in September this year following the resignation of Kevin Deeney from the Meadow Park hotseat.
But their arrival failed to turn around Medda's fortunes - with the pair's final match in charge being last Friday's 3-1 defeat to leaders Clydebank at Holm Park.
The team remain stuck at the bottom of the table with just two wins to their name - and a total of eight points - so far this season.
Though they're only a point behind Glenafton, Medda are four points adrift of the safety of 13th place in the table - with more games played than any of the three teams immediately above them.
The departure of Ferry and Roache continues the Medda managerial merry-go-round: their predecessor Deeney had only been in the hotseat for seven months before he stepped down in September, while the man at the helm before Deeney, George Grierson, spent just five months in charge.
Prior to Grierson, the Medda hotseat had been jointly occupied by co-managers Colin Spence and James Latta, who spent two and a half years in charge before submitting their resignations in September 2022.
Former Medda player Ferry and his assistant Roach had worked together on a number of occasions previously, including at Kilbirnie Ladeside, where they formed the Blasties' management team from April 2020 until August 2021.
Before joining the Irvine club, the duo had been working together as chief scouts for fellow West of Scotland Football League (WoSFL) Premier Division side Pollok.
