GRAHAM Muir emerged victorious as Kilwinning hosted its own darts tournament in the style of the UK Open.
The event was played in the same style as the Professional Darts Corporation major, with players drawn in a winner-takes-all knockout tournament and no seedings
The format makes for an intriguing contest and a strong crowd came along to take in the action at the Blacklands bowling club.
A total of 43 players entered the tournament with the field eventually brought down to just two players - Graham Muir and Wullie Hays.
In a tense final, it was Graham who held his nerve to pin the winning double tops to emerge 5-4 winner on the night.
The event also saw cash raised for two worthy causes, with players and fans donating £250 to the North Ayrshire Darts Academy and £100 to chosen charity Back Onside.
Following the tournament, organisers said: "Thanks again to our tournament sponsor King Joinery Neil King, to Laura Brown for the buffet, to the Blacklands Bowling Club for hosting us, and to everyone who came along and made it a fantastic day!"
