IRVINE Meadow's 2006 side are ready to move up into development football - but not before signing off their years at youth level in the best possible way.
The incredible Medda team have enjoyed a fantastic campaign this year, winning a domestic treble with victories in the league cup and president cup as well ending the season as league champions.
The club played their final league match on Friday, May 24, with one final achievement left to tick off the list.
Medda went into the match hoping to round off their campaign, and their time in youth football, by going unbeaten domestically all season.
And they did exactly that with a fantastic 6-1 win over Cumnock at Kilwinning Sports Club.
It looked like the Irvine side were well on their way early in the match when Maddox Webster gave the home team a 1-0 lead. However, Cumnock pegged Medda back and the two sides went in level at half-time.
After some choice words from their coaching team, however, Medda produced an incredible second 45, with a Lewis Graham hat-trick and strikes from Lucas Macdonald and Louis McPeake ensuring they finished their campaign in style.
A club spokesperson said: "The second half showed why the lads were crowned treble champions this season as it really was a joy to watch them.
"They were knocking the ball around, and the movement off the ball to create chances was way beyond their age at times.
"What a team performance team and what an amazing achievement."
