IRVINE Victoria have announced a management duo who will be stepping into the dugout for the remainder of the season.

Experienced pair Steven Gaffney and Kevin Adam have agreed to take the team forward as co-managers.

The club had previously been on the lookout for a new boss after parting ways with Stuart MacDuff, and his coaching team, at the beginning of this month.

MacDuff had been appointed at the beginning of the campaign and left with the Vics within the West of Scotland Football League Third Division relegation places.

The club, who have picked up four league points in two games while managerless, announced on Wednesday (November 27) that the current players would now take the club forward.

A statement said: "The club are happy to announce that Steven Gaffney and Kevin Adam have agreed to take the team forward for the season as co-managers.

"We would like to thank all those that applied for their time, effort and consideration for the position."

The club have not stated whether the duo will continue as players within the role.

Kevin Adam has been a key figure for Irvine Victoria having spent more than a decade at the club, where he is the record goalscorer having notched 181 times, including four this season.

Steven Gaffney has also been a key figure in defence since he signed for the club in July 2022, making 80 appearances in that time with 10 of those coming this season.
